Organizations
What is an organization?
An organization is a shared workspace that allows multiple people to work together on ECO Portal projects. Organizations can have multiple members with different roles and permissions.
Create an organization
- Sign in to the ECO Portal
- Go to your Organizations section
- Click “Create Organization”
- Give it a name and click “Create”
You will automatically become the owner of the organization.
Roles
Organizations use a role-based access control system with three main roles:
| Role | Permissions |
|---|---|
| Admin | |
| Owner | |
| Member |
Important: The last owner of an organization cannot be removed or demoted. You must transfer ownership to another member before removing or demoting the current owner.
Invite members
- As an Admin or Owner, go to the “Members” section of your organization
- Click on “Invite Member”
- Enter the email address of the person you want to invite
- Select their role (Admin or Member)
- Click “Send Invitation”
The invited person will receive an email with instructions to accept the invitation and create their account.
Organization API keys
An active API License for a High-Performing Client includes an Organisation Account for managing multiple Client Accounts and organisation-wide API credentials. Shared organization API keys allow API access on behalf of the Client’s organisation rather than a single Client Account. Organisation membership alone does not grant API access.
Organization API keys work the same way as user API keys:

Security notes
- Transfer ownership before trying to remove the current owner of an organization
- Invitations expire after 48 hours (unless updated by an admin)
- Only the invited email address can accept an invitation
- Members who are no longer part of an organization lose access to organization resources
